How to check your NECO result online and by SMS

To check your NECO result, go to the official portal at
results.neco.gov.ng,
choose your exam year and type, then enter your 12-digit token and 10-character
registration number. You can also check by SMS by sending
NECO*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear to 32327. Each token works
for up to 5 checks of one candidate’s result.
A NECO token is the digital replacement for the old scratch card — a unique 12-digit code that unlocks a candidate’s result on the portal. You need one before you can view or print your result. Buy a token here if you don’t have one yet.
Method 1 — Check NECO result on the portal
- Open results.neco.gov.ng.
- Select your exam year (e.g. 2025).
- Select your exam type — SSCE Internal (June/July), SSCE External/GCE (Nov/Dec), or BECE.
- Enter your 12-digit token.
- Enter your registration number — 10 characters: 8 digits then 2 letters (e.g. 12345678AB).
- Click Check Result to view your subjects and grades, then download or print.

Method 2 — Check NECO result by SMS
If you can’t get online, SMS works on any phone:
- Compose a new message:
NECO*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear(no spaces). - For example:
NECO*12345678AB*686442341122*2025. - Send it to 32327.
- Keep about ₦50 airtime — your result is returned by SMS.
